What’s New

March 26, 2007 - Then Joshua told the people: Years from now your children will ask you why these rocks are here. Tell them, “The Lord our God dried up the Jordan River so we could walk across. He did the same thing here for us that he did for our people at the Red Sea, because he wants everyone on earth to know how powerful he is. And he wants us to worship only Him.”(Joshua 4: 21-24)
Christian Networks Move to High Definition
TBN Vice President Paul Crouch Jr., son of TBN founders Paul and Jan Crouch, said that Christian “broadcasting has not yet reached the point of all HD, all the time. But executives at Trinity Broadcasting Network, home of 24-hour faith-based programs like Praise the Lord, think that time is coming--and have established a new HD production facility in Costa Mesa, CA, to prepare for that eventuality.” Read more here.
Bishop GE Patterson Goes Home to God
Bishop GE Patterson, the leader of the Church of God in Christ, gospel singer and broadcast evangelists passed from this life on March 20 in Memphis. He considered stepping down from his leadership role, but told his followers, “if my body being afflicted can get us back to where God wants us to be, then I'm willing to suffer.” On hearing the news, former US representative Harold Ford, Jr said, “America lost a true angel today. He was favored by the Almighty and he used his favor to instruct us all on how to be better servants.” Read more...

Some verses to meditate on

We are reminded through God's word that we are the created ones. All Glory be to God.

Genesis 4: 3-7
In the course of time Cain brought to the Lord an offering of the fruit of the ground, and Abel brought of the firstlings of his flock and of their fat portions. And the Lord had regard for Abel and his offering, but for Cain and his offering he had no regard. So Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell. The Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry, and why has your contenance fallen? If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin is couching at the door; its desire is for you, but you must master it.”
Galations 6: 1-10
Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Look to yourself, lest you too be tempted. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if any one thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbor. For each man will have to bear his own load.

Let him who is taught the word share all good things with him who teaches.

Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption; but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eaternal life. And let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not lose heart. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
Mark 7: 14-23
And he called the people to him again, and said to them, “Hear me, all of you, and understand: there is nothing outside a man which by going into him can defile him; but the things which come out of a man are what defile him.” And when he had entered the house, and left the people, his disciples asked him about the parable. And he said to them, “Then are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a man from outside cannot defile him, since it enters, not his heart, but his stomach, and so passes on?” (Thus he declared all foods clean.) And he said, “What comes out of a man is what defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, fornication, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, licentiousness, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these things come from within, and they defile a man.”
