| WWEV Victory 91.5 FM Cumming |
| Victory 91.5 broadcasts to the greater Atlanta area with a signal strength of 8,900 Watts providing a Christian contemporary format. WWEV began broadcasting on December 8, 1981. In the early days of ministry the radio station was totally automated. The music and announcers were taped. The tapes were then shuttled back and forth to the transmitter site on Sawnee Mountain in Cumming. We didn't actually have a radio "station." At the time it was a one room portable building at the base of the tower on top of the mountain. When the weather was bad it was a treacherous journey to change the tapes. The music was quite different then. Most of the music could be classified as inspirational. It included such artists as Doug Oldham, George Beverly Shea, The Continental Singers and the Haven of Rest Quartet. The format was changed to all contemporary in 1985 when Barry Holt became the General Manager. The WWEV family is located in our new facility at 1705 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, Georgia. The Lord is blessing us with a fresh anointing each day to minister to the North Georgia and Metro Atlanta area. WWEV is governed by an uncompensated Board of Directors, providing leadership and accountability for the radio ministry of FM 91.5. Owned by Curriculum Development Foundation. |
